Automotive Gear Oils - Synthetic

Transgear S 80W-140
An extreme pressure, SAE 80W-140, heavy duty gear lubricant formulated from synthetic base stocks. The high and low temperature performance of this product far exceeds that of conventional mineral based hypoid gear oils. In addition to extreme pressure protection, the additive system protects against rust, oxidations and corrosion to offer maximum protection to gears and bearings operating under a wide variety of load conditions.

SAE 80W-140, API GL-5, API MT-1, Mack Truck GO-J, US MIL-PRF-2105E, Eaton Axle Bulletin 116 (Rev.1), Rockwell International 0-76-B.

Applications

• Recommended for use in bevel, spiral bevel and hypoid gear type differentials, either single or double reduction, and in power dividers where the equipment manufacturer specify synthetic lubricants
• This product meets or exceeds the performance requirements of major manufacturers of drive-line components including Eaton, Rockwell, Mack and Dana (Spicer)

Automotive Gear Oils - Mineral

Energear Hypo XL 80W-90
Developed for use in Mercedes-Benz automotive axles requiring gear oil of MB 235.20 specifications.

For manual gearboxes, Energear Hypo XL 80W-90 should only be used if lubricants of API GL-5 performance level are specifically recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.

SAE 80W-90, Mercedes-Benz 235.20, Mack GO-J, API GL-5, US MIL-PRF-2105E, MT 1

Applications

• Automotive equipment operating under severe conditions and a wide range of operating temperatures • For use in automotive, hypoid, bevel and spiral bevel gears requiring an MB 235.20 specification gear oil. Also replaces 235.0 and 235.6

Energear Limslip 90 & 140
Limslip 90 and 140 are suitable for the majority of spin resistant or cone limited slip differentials where mineral based lubricants are specified.

Selected anti-wear extreme pressure and friction modifying additives have been incorporated to provide the controlled frictional characteristics necessary to not only meet the load demands but also to prevent “chattering” in limited slip differentials.

SAE 90, SAE 140, API GL-5, GL-6 (Obsolete), Dana Spec. No.5m-41A, Ford ESW-FM2C-1006A/B:M2C 119A, GMH HN 1561, MIL-L-2105D

Applications

• Suitable for the majority of manufacturers’ spin resistant differentials where a mineral based lubricant is specified. Note: NOT recommended for Holden VE models onwards • Suitable for use in conventional differentials and gearboxes where GL-5 and obsolete GL-6 lubricants have been specified (The viscosity grade required will depend on the ambient temperature and vehicle manufacturers specifications
Hypogear 80W-90 & 85W-140
High performance automotive gear oils providing excellent anti-wear performance, corrosion protection and thermal oxidation stability. The two viscosity grades available (initially developed to meet US MIL-L Specs.), have now become prominent for use in domestic transport hypoid or hypoid/spiral differentials, transaxles and manual transmissions.

SAE 80W-90, SAE 85W-140, API GL-5, API MT-1, US MIL-PRF-2105E, Approved Mack GO-H gear oils, Mack GO-J performance

Applications

• Automotive differentials and other gearsets in commercial vehicles where API Service Quality GL-5 lubricants have been specified

Transgear FE 80W-140
A multigrade extreme pressure automotive gear oil, formulated with hydrocracked base oil. May be used as an alternative to Hypogear 85W-140 or similar performance level products to offer grade rationalisations and/or fuel savings.

SAE 80W-140, API GL-4, GL-5, MIL-2705D

Applications

• Automotive differentials and other gearsets in commercial vehicles where API Service Quality GL-5 lubricants have been specified, with the intention to improve fuel economy
