Supplier Diversity

Helping provide the fuel necessary to be both competitively successful and a force for good
BP Connect store with a Wild Bean Cafe at a BP Service Station in Naperville, Illinois, USA.

Supplier Diversity ensures that BP businesses have access to Minority and Women Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) that are competitive, operate safely and efficiently, and are of scale.

Strategically integrating Supplier Diversity into the sourcing process assists in maximizing value to the business, consulting each segment and business provides a central diverse supplier repository and supplier development ensures we have the right product, from the right supplier, at the right time and at the right price.

In 2013, BP did business with nearly 300 certified M/WBEs in the US. BP has spent an average of nearly $700 million per year over the past six years with diverse suppliers. BP's goal is to spend $1 billion annually with M/WBEs, which would place us in the Billion Dollar Roundtable, an elite group of 20 corporations known for supplier diversity.
