Bright future programme

6,000 young people will play an important part in delivering the Games and benefit from comprehensive training, designed to help them develop leadership, presentation, communication and public speaking skills.

On February 18, Azerbaijan Islamic Games Organizing Committee and BP, launched the Volunteers Development Programme called Bright Future.

The programme that consists of a number of training modules was opened with the Effective Communication training course aiming at promoting personal and professional development of the volunteers.
The Azerbaijan Islamic Games Organizing Committee corporate director Elchin Safarov and vice president, BP Azerbaijan Georgia Turkey, C&EA, strategy and region, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli took part in the opening training, in Azerbaijan State Sports Academy.
Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli said: “We are proud to be official partner of the Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games and assist to implement the “Bright Future” Volunteers Development Programme. It is rewarding to see Azerbaijan successfully hosting and participating in international scale games and we share the country’s notable achievements throughout these high profile sports events. The Volunteers Development Program, presents another opportunity for the youth to achieve their high potential. We are confident that by creating this possibility we take an active part in building up our nation’s bright future and we are extremely proud of it.”
400 volunteers enrolled to the “Effective Communication” training, as part of the Volunteers Development Programme. At the end of the training the volunteers were given certificates of participation.

BP AGT continues to provide professional training sessions for the volunteers.
The first BP session was held in February with participation of Rashad Bayramov, external affairs manager, who gave a presentation about powerful public speaking.

Up to date, BP employees have held 13  sessions on different topics including powerful public speaking, behavioral safety, ethics and compliance awareness, introduction to project management.
