Benefits

Benefits for Business Customers

  • More trucks served - Covers wide range of most important and latest OEM specs.
  • Less inventory, less mistakes - Wide OEM specification profile helps to serve most trucks with only one product, reduce inventory, reduce stress and complexity to avoid mistakes.
  • Latest technology - Giving confidence to deliver the greatest possible added value by servicing most truck models with technology leading products and higher quality through upgraded formulations.
  • Trusted brand - Global trusted brand adds credibility to workshop service offerings.

Benefits for Consumers

  • Improved fuel economy* - Cuts cost-per-kilometer, more km per litre of fuel
  • Longer drain intervals and increased vehicle availability - On the road for longer, less downtime, less oil changes, less labour costs.
  • Extended DPF-life, reduces long term filter blocking - low SAPS oil reduces harmful deposits to protect and prolong the life of modern emission control systems (Diesel Particulate Filters - DPF)
  • Maximum engine protection and peace of mind against breakdown - Reduces soot and wear to maximise engine response.
  • Outstanding cold start performance, easy start at low temperatures - can flow at temperatures as low as - 40°C
  • Reduced operating costs, engineered to go extra kilometers - Less lubricant consumption, less downtime, less maintenance and repair costs.
  • Up to 30% cleaner*, more reliable engine - Keeping engine cleaner and running smoother with less downtime.

Product Performance

Piston Cleanliness Test

The Piston Cleanliness Test is a severe engine test, required for all ACEA heavy duty diesel specifications. It evaluates several areas of engine performance including piston cleanliness. Piston cleanliness is measured as a merit score, where a higher score is given for better performance. Cleaner pistons will ensure longer engine life and reliable performance.

Soot Control Test

The Soot Control Test is a severe engine test, required for ACEA heavy duty diesel specifications. It evaluates the oil’s ability to control the soot which is formed during the diesel combustion process. The lower the result, the better the performance. Better soot control ensures less oil thickening and less wear in your engine, so you can be sure of reliable performance.

Engine Wear Test

The Engine Wear Test evaluates how well an oil can protect a heavy duty diesel engine against wear, and is part of the ACEA specification sequence. In this test, the amount of wear on critical engine components is measured after running the engine over a number of hours under severe conditions. The lower the wear, the better the oil is protecting the engine. Vanellus Max 5W-30 exceeds the industry standard in this test. Better protection against wear means your engine will keep running reliably.

Pour Point Test

The Pour Point Test is an industry standard test which evaluates the oil’s ability to keep fluid at low temperatures. This is important for efficient engine operation when the outside temperature is low, and for reliable engine start-up because the oil will reach engine components quicker and lubricate them. Vanellus Max 5W-30 has excellent low temperature oil flow properties.
