Sports partnerships

BP began its association with Olympic and Paralympic sport in 2008 when it became a partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Between 2008 - 2016 BP has been a proud partner of the British Olympic Association and the British Paralympic Association. We were there at London 2012 to cheer on the remarkable performances by Team GB and ParalympicsGB and we continued our support on the road to Rio

BP is a proud national partner to the London 2017 World Para Athletics Championships 14-23 July

BP has supported a number of other high-profile sporting events, including Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Baku 2015 European Games and the World Para Athletics Championships London 2017.

BP continues to be a proud partner of the International Paralympic Committee, the governing body for the Paralympic Movement until 2020, supporting British athletes as they prepare to compete at PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020.

Continuing a relationship which was forged in 2008, the renewed commitment with the BPA will boost efforts to send the best prepared team of athletes and staff to compete at the Paralympic Games.

Since BP joined the BPA’s family of commercial partners, ParalympicsGB have produced historic and record breaking performances at both Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016.

The partnership also demonstrates BP’s continued global support of the Paralympic movement, as a partner of the International Paralympic Committee and as a supporter of a number of National Paralympic Committees around the world.

Over the years we have supported a number of athletes through their journeys including Jess Ennis – Hill, Stef Reid and Richard Whitehead.  We are delighted that our support for Richard will continue through to the London 2017 games.

Building on our support for disability in sports  we are also a corporate friend of the Superhero Series. Find out more about the Superhero Tri.
