Members of Congress Visit North Slope

On July 8, eight members of the United States Congress, all of whom serve on the House Energy and Commerce Committee visited Alaska’s North Slope, where BP recently celebrated 40 years of production at Prudhoe Bay. Congressional Representatives in attendance include Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-Ore.), Committee Ranking Member Frank Pallone (D-N.J.), Energy Subcommittee Chairman Fred Upton (R-Mich.), Environment Subcommittee Chairman Rep. John Shimkus (R-Ill.), Rep. Susan Brooks (R-Ind.), Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-Fla.) and Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-Calif.).
