Gulf of Mexico response

BP is doing everything we can to make this right. We continue to seal the Macondo well permanently, clean up the environment, and make sure that people are compensated for legitimate claims.

Here we provide up-to-the-minute multimedia reports on what's being done beneath the sea, on the surface, at the shoreline and in the community.

Latest reports:

Update on Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill: BP today provided an update on developments in the response to the MC252 oil well incident in the Gulf of Mexico. BP continues to work with the guidance and approval of the National Incident Commander and in cooperation with the leadership and direction of the federal government.

New report on spill response: BP has prepared a new report, "Deepwater Horizon Containment and Response: Capabilities and Lessons Learned," for the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement, designed to enhance response to any future such incidents of any size.
