Rebates and incentives

Solar rebates
There are numerous grants and subsidies available to support your investment in solar power and solar hot water
Applying for Federal Government rebates is easy and more rewarding than ever. In addition, BP Solar offers its exclusive Enviro-cashback.

BP Solar Enviro-cashback for electricity

BP Solar offers the Enviro-cashback as a way for customers to easily exchange the Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) they are entitled to when installing a new solar system for cash.

Under current arrangements, BP Solar will pay you for every watt of solar electricity capacity you have installed in exchange for the Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). Other criteria include:
  • The system must be between 115 watts and 100,000 watts of installed capacity
  • The renewable energy certificates (RECs) cannot be assigned to any other party
  • Enviro-cashback is only payable on new BP Solar modules.
How does the BP Solar’s Enviro-cashback work with Solar Credits?
The Federal Government has recently released a scheme called Solar Credits. Under this scheme, if you install a solar PV system that is up to 1.5kWp AND you have not received a government rebate (e.g. SHCP), you are entitled to Solar Credits. The BP Solar Envirocashback program does not apply to Solar Credits.
