Saxi Batuque Blend is a medium gravity, moderately acidic, sweet crude with an API of 32.7, an acidity of 0.64 mgKOH/g and a sulphur level of 0.30 wt%.

The key properties show that Saxi Batuque Blend will be the lightest grade in BP’s Angolan portfolio, with an API slightly above that of Plutonio. It will additionally be the sweetest grade with a sulphur level below that of Girassol. The acidity level lies between that of Hungo and Mondo and the metals levels are low.
