Where does BP have franchising opportunities?
BP has franchising opportunities in several countries around the globe and the number of countries is growing.
Currently BP has opportunities in the following markets:
- US - Western Region: states of CA, WA, AZ, OR and NV.
- US - Midwestern and Eastern Region
- United Kingdom (UK)
- Germany
- South Africa
BP has two distinct franchise opportunities in the United States. The ARCO gasoline and ampm franchise opportunity is located in the Western Region, encompassing the states of CA, WA, AZ, OR and NV. The BP ampm franchise opportunity including the Amoco fuels gasoline offer is located in Midwestern and Eastern Regions in the U.S.
In Europe BP has franchise opportunities in the United Kingdom (UK) and Germany. In the UK BP is franchising BP Connect with Wild Bean Café, while in Germany the franchise brand is Aral with Petit Bistro.
BP also has franchising opportunities in South Africa where we franchise the Express store concept with BP fuels.
Is BP only franchising the BP brand?
No. BP has several franchising brands in different parts of the world, but each market has only one specific brand.
Dependent on the market, BP currently has four different franchise brands in its portfolio:
- BP Connect with Wild Bean Café in the United Kingdom.
- BP Express in South Africa.
- ARCO with ampm in western regions in the U.S.
- BP ampm in midwestern and eastern regions in the U.S.
- Aral with Petit Bistro in Germany.

It is the right to trade your own site as a BP Connect shop including all the recognized offers, formats, product ranges and advertising brands. This includes but is not limited to Wild Bean Café, all promotions & advertising campaigns, Impulse, Convenience and core products. Your site(s) are supported by a successful operating platform and training programme for Management and team members.
What is ampm Franchising?
It is the right to trade your own site as an ampm shop including all the recognized offers, formats, product ranges and advertising brands. Your site(s) are supported by a successful operating platform and training programme for Management and team members. With over 25 years of operating experience, advanced systems and training solutions, we set the standard for quality, brand recognition and leadership within the petroleum and convenience store industry.
What is Aral Franchising?
It is the right to trade your own site as an Aral shop including all the recognized offers, formats, product ranges and advertising brands. This includes but is not limited to the Petit Bistro, all promotions & advertising campaigns, Impulse, Convenience and core products. Your site(s) are supported by a successful operating platform and training programme for Management and team members. With a great deal of expertise, passion and care, the designers of the PetitBistro concept set out to create an eatery with an emphasis on high quality. Our delicious SuperSnacks attest to these efforts. These have been the absolute highlight of our basic product assortment since May 2004, and as the name already implies, they are “super tasty”.
What is BP Express Franchising?
It is the right to trade your own site as a BP Express shop (BP Gold Franchise) including all the recognized offers, formats, product ranges and advertising brands. Your site(s) are supported by a successful operating platform and training programme for Management and team members. In 1998, the BP Express Shop franchise was awarded the prestigious Brand Builder of the Year Award by the Franchise Association of Southern Africa (FASA).
