How do I apply for a job in E&P in the US, UK or as an expat?
To apply for a job in the UK, US or as an expat:
- Click the 'Job areas' link, on this page, and select the area you want to work in and click the ‘View jobs’ link in the corresponding drop-down.
- From the job list, select the job of interest to view the job description. Read it carefully to see if you are qualified and eligible.
- Click the 'Apply to job(s)' button to begin the application process.
Can I apply by email or post?
Only online applications submitted via this site for specific jobs will be considered. BP does not accept email or paper-based applications.
There are no jobs posted that interest me, can I send a speculative/general application?
You may submit your CV speculatively as our recruiters will search for candidates in our database; however, you stand a much better chance of being considered for a role if you apply to a specific role that matches your skills and experience.
What happens to my application after I have submitted it?
Within two days of applying online, you will receive an email confirming whether or not you meet the minimum requirements for the specific job you applied for.
If your application meets the minimum requirements, you will progress to the next stage of our selection process. This is a detailed review of the CVs/resumes of all the candidates that have met the minimum requirements. The global E&P resourcing team will then decide which candidates will be shortlisted for an initial interview.
If you are successful you will be invited for an interview either via telephone, video conference or in person.
If you are not successful you will receive an email letting you know. We will continue to notify you when your profile matches other job postings as there may be a different job for which you are a better fit.
