What sizes does the bottle come in?
The bottle comes in two sizes: 5kg or 10kg. This number refers to the weight of the propane gas that is contained in the bottle when full.
BP Gas Light is available throughout the UK in the 10kg size. The 5kg size BP Gas Light is currently only available through some Truma stockists. To find out more, use our Bottle Finder tool or call our customer services team.

What does the bottle contain?
Your BP Gas Light cylinder contains propane which is stored as a liquid under moderate pressure and vaporizes to gas as you use it.
The propane gas is LPG (liquefied petroleum gas). The bottle is not available with butane.

* Please note that this may differ from our published literature. Previous 5kg BP Gas Light cylinders weighed 4.5kg when empty but all cylinders currently in the UK market are newer models which weigh 3.7kg when empty.
How many can I have at a time?
You can have as many bottles at a time as you like. If you have an empty BP Gas Light to exchange for a full one, then you do not need to pay a deposit, just the refill charge. However, you will have to pay a deposit on each bottle the first time you buy it.
