BP Solar enhances US residential solar offer

Release date: 27 October 2009
Certified Installer Program, advanced black module help ensure highest lifetime value for residential customers.
Anaheim, CA — BP Solar today announced two major additions to its residential solar offer, further solidifying its position as provider of highest lifetime value across all types of solar installations.
Beginning in 2010, BP Solar will launch the company’s highly successful Certified Installer Program in the US and introduce its new 215-watt black module ideal for residential installations.
"The residential market continues to grow as consumers recognize the value of going solar,” BP Solar CEO Reyad Fezzani said. “By enhancing our offer with these residentially focused products and services, BP Solar is positioned to provide the highest lifetime value to consumers who want to minimize their impact on both the environment and their pocketbook."

Certified Installer Program

The Certified Installer Program (CIP) is an initiative by BP Solar to create a worldwide network of installers who are recognized for superior workmanship, safety, and installation performance. The program complements and builds on local accreditation, licensing and training programs.
"BP Solar has been training and certifying residential solar installers in Germany since 2005 and more recently in Spain and Australia, resulting in improved installation quality and customer satisfaction,” Fezzani said. “The time is right for us to introduce this new level of service delivery to the US residential market."
The BP Solar network of authorized distributors, installers and resellers already includes some of the most experienced and knowledgeable practitioners in the solar industry. Now via the Certified Installer Program, these experts will be accessible in a greater number of regions and offer more products and services.
By choosing a BP Solar Certified Installer, customers will benefit from complete service from an installer who:
  • has been trained on photovoltaic systems and on the sale and installation of BP Solar products;
  • maintains the highest standards for safe installation and system operations;
  • holds all required state and local licenses;
  • is uniquely able to offer customers enhanced products and services.
The certification brings peace of mind to the end customer, as an assurance for quality of delivery. The CIP offer contains additional services to customers, e.g. the BP Solar Service Warranty, which complements our existing product warranty.
