Azerbaijan Social Review Comission reports and BP responses
The Azerbaijan Social Review Commission (ASRC) is an advisory group set up as continuation of efforts to promote transparency, dialogue and public engagement of our activities in Azerbaijan. It was created in early 2007 to help the company recognize trends, challenges, and longer-term issues it faces. The commission serves as an independent advisory body to the leadership of BP Azerbaijan, focusing on social performance BP is undertaking on behalf of its co-venturers. For the time being it includes five Azerbaijani experts and two international members who come from the U.S. and U.K.

The Azerbaijan Social Review Commission (ASRC) has issued its 5th annual report, followed by BP response. The report includes information about work of the commission, boundaries, BP’s macro-economic and broad societal impact, operational impact, community programs and engagement with Azerbaijan society. The report summarizes findings based on the group's research, visits to communities in the Sangachal area and meetings with company representatives in May 2011. This concluded the first 5-years-long round of ASRC work.
