Whiting Community Park
BP volunteers and family at work
In continued efforts to give back to the communities in which we operate, volunteers from BP's Whiting Refinery joined forces with the City of Whiting, and Purdue Calumet's Master Gardener's Program, to develop a new community park at the corner of 121st Street and Kelly Place in Whiting, Indiana. In addition to several hundred work hours donated by refinery volunteers, BP contributed $15,000 to help cover park costs. The park, which will be named by the City of Whiting at a later date, is now complete and ready for community members to enjoy!
