Our Drilling & Completions community focuses on Safety Integrity & Environment. It engineers hazards out and works to minimise the environmental impact of delivering wells that enable maximum recovery of BP's world class resource base.
We have designed industry leading solutions that drive business delivery and we are continuously pushing the limits of what we can do. Our development, deployment and connectivity are all world class. Common processes and practices define the way we work, and we strive to make every well better than the previous one.
Our vision is to be the best discoverer and recoverer through Exploration and Maximising Economic Recovery.
We invest in the largest, lowest cost, new hydrocarbon deposits so we can build production with steadily improving returns. At the same time, we maximize production from our existing assets.
We're looking for world-class geoscientists, petroleum engineers and petrophysicists to use state-of-the-art techniques and technology to help us discover and extract resources. We also need petroleum and reservoir engineers adept at finding ways of extracting hydrocarbons more safely, efficiently and cost-effectively than ever before.
With over 86 major global projects under development in 26 countries and an annual capital spend of approx. 6 billion USD/year, BP Exploration and Production has one of the largest development portfolios in the Oil and Gas industry. As a Project and Engineering professional within BP, you'll be exposed to an amazing breadth of opportunity and experience. Whether we're using the latest subsea technology to access oil from the deepest oceans, building some of the world's biggest production facilities or designing pipelines that cross several countries, we have some of the largest projects and most complex engineering challenges in the world.
BP's goal is to enable energy to be produced and consumed in ways that do no long-term damage to the planet or its people. Our global business is constantly changing and we are looking for outstanding HSE professionals to help us to meet and exceed our ambitious health, safety and environmental performance standards.
As part of our quest to find and develop oil and gas all over the world, you'll be exposed to the kind of sophisticated tools, methodologies and technologies that give BP a distinct competitive advantage. You'll have the opportunity to work in a diverse range of geographies and development types. These include a variety of offshore, deepwater, onshore, oil, gas and condensate scenarios of differing scale. You may find yourself in exploration – looking for hydrocarbon accumulations in the most upstream part of our business or working in appraisal and development, to ensure the maximum recovery of hydrocarbons from producing reservoirs.
Exploration & Production Technology (EPT) provides technical guidance and support to BP's Exploration and Production Businesses and Major Projects worldwide. EPT people are responsible for technical excellence and good engineering discipline throughout E&P, defining best practice at a global level across the full spectrum of upstream technical disciplines. EPT is involved in research too, and plays a vital role in long wavelength projects and their implementation across the business. It’s our aim is to recruit the very best people, and then to retain them. Consistent with this aim, we have a record of attracting, inspiring and retaining a diverse, talented, group of people.
