BP, everyday part of your community

BP is committed to the communities in which we operate.
Our drive and ambition to support education, enterprise, innovation and leadership has lead us to be involved in some of the most enduring community partnerships in New Zealand.

Ever since the first BP station opened here in 1946, BP has been serving New Zealand communities with high-quality fuel and fantastic food and coffee.

Less well known are some of the services to the communities we’re part of. For over 20 years, we’ve inspired and engaged thousands of students through the BP Challenge and the Young Enterprise Trust. We’ve been partnering with Surf Life Saving New Zealand since 1968, helping them build up a fleet of over 250 Inflatable Rescue Boats in what is one of the country’s longest-running sponsorships.

Our 1,700 staff, the hundreds of independent kiwi business people that run our 2go sites, our local suppliers and contractors like Dad’s Pies and Alison Holst are all part of what makes us so proud to be part of New Zealand.

It’s a history of proudly serving locals that stretches back 50 years, and includes 280 stores in communities from Ninety Mile Beach to Bluff.

So, when you next visit BP, remember you’re not just meeting the needs of your car; you’re helping us meet the needs of New Zealanders.
