BP started in Singapore as an oil refining and marketing company in 1964. Over the past few decades, BP Singapore has evolved to become a knowledge hub for BP in the Asia Pacific region
What we do
Today, BP's main business activities in Singapore are Global Oil Integrated Supply and Trading, Gas, Shipping, Consumer Lubricants, Industrial Lubricants, Marine Fuel and Lubricants, and Aviation Fuel and Lubricants. These businesses have their regional headquarters in Singapore, from which they serve international markets and customers.
BP Singapore also serves as a regional service centre for BP's operations in the region, with group functions such as Digital & Communications Technology, Legal, Tax, HR, Group Security, Internal Audit, Group Press, and Group Compliance & Ethics based here. Singapore is also the site of BP’s Most-of-the-World Mega Data Centre, one of four mega data centres from which BP runs its global IT operations.
