The NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) acquires extraction rights from gas processing to provide reliable supply at low costs to our customers. As NGLs usually have a greater value as a marketable liquids than as a Btu equivalent in the raw and as domestically 70-80% of gas must be processed, NGL provides a value add by transporting the liquids down the supply chain to areas of high demand. NGLs can be extracted from field gas plants, from straddle plants, and from refineries as a by-product. Product is transported across Canada and down through the US to sell to retailers, wholesales and brokers to meet our customer needs.
ProGas has access to major North American markets through its diverse portfolio of long-term firm transportation and sales contracts. These contracts are diverse both in terms and geographic distribution (U.S. Northeast, Mid-West, California, Eastern Canada, domestic) and by type of market served (LDC, power generation, market hub). We are recognized as a reliable, competitively priced supply source in the markets we serve. With over 200 customers, our sales contracts contain a variety of pricing mechanisms and other terms creating a unique market portfolio designed to minimize risk exposure and volatility.
