BP Ultimate Diesel has a cetane number of 55 minimum, significantly higher than the standard 51 cetane for ordinary diesel fuels in the market. Cetane number is the key measure of diesel fuel combustion quality and similar to the octane number of petrol, the higher the cetane rating of diesel, the better its combustion quality.
