BP Alternative Energy invests in the fuel and power of the future. We are looking to invest $8 billion over the next 10 years to provide customers with clean, secure energy which will shape the evolution of the global energy industry in the coming decades.
Our portfolio covers a wide range of renewable and alternative energy technologies, from large-scale commercial businesses to first-in-class projects in exciting new areas.
We already have substantial businesses in solar photovoltaic and wind. Alternative Energy are also developing projects in advanced bio-fuels and hydrogen power with carbon capture and storage (CCS). These draw on our long-established research and engineering skills, as well as newer capabilities in areas such as carbon sequestration and bioscience.
