London 2012
BP is a Tier One Partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As part of their support for the Games, BP has teamed up with the London 2012 Education team to create an exciting new resource and roadshow that gives students a taste of the competitive world of business.

Enterprise Trading Game
The Enterprise Trading Game is an Enterprise, Mathematics and Business Studies resource for 14–19 year olds. This exciting work-related game challenges students to engage in a simulation of real-life trading. Students work together in teams, competing to trade oil, manage budgets and interpret market news, whilst demonstrating skills and values that can contribute towards success in business.
The game enables students to work with the concept of risk management, and to show that they have a ‘can-do’ attitude – the essence of enterprise and of the Olympic and Paralympic movement.

Trading Challenge roadshow
The Trading Challenge is a high-impact, one-day roadshow for 14–19 year old students, free to schools around the UK. It is an exciting, work-related activity focusing on Mathematics and Enterprise.
During the fast-paced session, students trade oil, react to market news and manage a budget, using teamwork, decision-making and communication skills.
The roadshow is part of the BP Enterprising Science programme, which also offers secondary school Science teachers the opportunity to attend a free CPD course ‘Talk Science’, delivered by the Science Museum in regions throughout the UK.
The UK tour is in progress – apply now to ensure your school can receive a visit.
An important aspect of the Enterprise Trading Game and the Trading Challenge roadshow is the application of three of the seven Olympic and Paralympic Game Values: determination, respect and excellence.
