The Skarv field discovered.

1996
The Valhall wellhead platform installed after record development speed.
License 212 with the Skarv prospect awarded to Amoco in the 15th licensing round.

Hod platform
1995
Amoco moves into new seafront building in central Stavanger.

1990
Production start up from Hod.

1988
The Storting approved development of the 50 million barrels at Hod field based on an un-manned platform, a first on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Valhall platform
1982
Valhall production starts up based on estimated recoverable reserves of 247 million barrels of oil.

1977
Approval for development of the Valhall field given by Stortinget (Parliament).

Awarded license 033, block 2/11 - later the Hod field.
The Valhall field discovered.

1965
Amoco applied for blocks in the first licensing round on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and was awarded license 006, blocks 2/5 and 2/8 - later the Valhall field.
