President’s Remarks

Once again the BP Volunteers, Calgary Retirees have contributed to many aspects of their community through their volunteerism. Although we lost three projects, our volunteer hours remained very strong. This year’s report also includes a few personal stories of both the volunteers and of those who were helped. This human side is perhaps the most important part of volunteering. In 2009, we are adding a second Golf Marshalling project as well as a Bluebird Nest Box project.

Congratulations and thanks to each of you.

Our history

The purpose of BP Volunteers-Calgary retirees (formerly AmoCares) is to expand the number of volunteers so that all of us can capitalize and leverage our skills, experiences and talents and help our communities. We do this through working partnerships with BP Energy, existing volunteer organizations and our own initiatives in order to make a difference.
