We are a leading producer of paraxylene (PX)
Paraxylene (PX) is used primarily as a feedstock for the manufacture of purified terephthalic acid (PTA), which is an important chemical in the production of fibre and plastic bottles.

BP continues to invest in improving its technology for PX production. BP's process is highly energy efficient, which makes it particularly attractive in regions of the world with expensive or increasing energy costs.
