This high performance material is the foundation for a new generation of versatile polyesters and specialty resins including advanced plastics such as polyethylene naphthalate (PEN).

This monomer from BP expands the thermal, barrier and mechanical property range of typical polyesters. It is being increasingly used to extend polyesters reach into such diverse applications as ultra thin data storage tape, high performance, light weight tire cord and pasteurizable return/refill plastic beer bottles.
