Cooper River plant
Cooper River plant only occupies 490 acres of a 5,900 acre forest and wetland site
Our Cooper River plant manufactures purified terephthalic acid (PTA), which is used to manufacture polyester resin for fibres, films and packaging. The plant is located on the east coast of the United States, north of Charleston, South Carolina.

Cooper River has two world scale production units with total capacity of
approximately 1.3 million tonnes of PTA.
The facility is set on 5,900 acres with
nearly one-third consisting of wetlands.
