Network equipment
Air BP is proud to serve customers from all sectors of the aviation industry and have developed a wide range of innovative equipment in our network

Cardswipes

Carnet Card-operated pumps are a key feature of the Air BP network in Australia. All you need to access these 24-hour facilities is an Air BP Carnet Card.

Just swipe your card through the specially marked Air BP dispensers and you are ready to start refuelling. These pumps are available at 40 locations across Australia.

Solar powered skid pump

Solar Powered Skid Pumps are used to pump aviation fuel from a tank into an aircraft and can be used anywhere there is sunshine. These pumps are used where grid electricity is not available and can be used in emergencies, such as for fire fighting aircraft.

Air BP has an Australian patent on this design, which is equipped with two BP Solar panels and has been in service since 1995. More than 60 of these pumps are in use around Australia.

Solar power pack

The Solar Power Pack is a stand-alone, skid-mounted solar generator that can power an Avgas Cardswipe. Developed and built in conjunction with BP Solar, the Solar Power Pack is a clean, efficient and cost-effective way to power off-grid locations. (Patent Applied for: PQ 1965/99).

Solar lighting

If you need to refuel at remote locations at night, you may come across another useful BP Solar innovation – the solar light.

Rapid deployment equipment

In situations requiring a rapid response, particularly to remote locations, Air BP uses fire-resistant, double-contained aviation tanks which also include pumping and filtration equipment.

Electric powered fuelling vehicles

Air BP has developed an electric powered aviation fuel dispensing vehicle for use at major airports.
