Functionality and flexibility - The features of BP MX
BP MX has many features - all of which help to make it flexible, scaleable and manageable.
Operator Displays and Reports
BP MX removes the need for manual reporting of production performance and reduces burden rates. Operators have up-to-the minute performance metrics that let them see what is needed to meet production targets and how they impact the overall process. Access to work instructions, set up data and other information can be provided to operators side-by-side with existing systems or directly through BP MX.
Plant Efficiency Monitoring
BP MX generates plant performance reports, including OEE (availability, performance and quality), as well as downtime, event and throughput measures. Information can be seen for any defined historical period or in real-time, by asset, line, area, shift or production run.
Product Efficiency Monitoring
BP MX has the ability to track efficiency by product run or individual product through your processes – even if that path through production is constantly changing. View immediately which products burden assets the most and those that cause the most issues in production.
Quality Management
BP MX enables an accurate view of quality levels by allowing access to product quality information associated with each product or batch of product manufactured. Quality information can be imported from an existing quality system or input directly into BP MX using drop down menus and a few simple clicks.
Active Monitoring and Communication
BP MX provides the ability to set up any number of specified system triggers, against machine faults, downtime, performance measures – or those initiated by an operator such as calling for materials or maintenance personnel. Once a trigger boundary has been exceeded or initiated, communication can be sent to specified personnel or departments via email, pager, cell phone SMS, LCD or andon displays. BP MX also provides for escalation, if not addressed, and records a timeline of the event/response.
Feed Key Data to other critical systems
Open data access: Easily output data in a variety of formats, including:
- Microsoft Excel™
- Simulation software - Accurate, sequential data feeds to your specific simulation package
- Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)- Feed cycle run times and counts directly to your maintenance software
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and scheduling software- Incorporate asset and product actuals to your ERP system to continually improve your standards
Connectivity
Wired or wireless connectivity. Wireless connections allow for easy movement of assets throughout the plant.
Security
BP MX is installed and configured to meet your corporate IT standards. It also has built-in, configurable security levels so sensitive information is kept safe. BP MX is a passive system, running in parallel to existing controls and systems, so you can be certain that it will never interfere with your operation.
