BP in Asia Pacific
Over the next ten years, the Asia Pacific region is expected to show significant growth in gas demand
BP is well positioned to capture a significant portion of this growth by being a leading player in the Asia Pacific LNG market through interests in Tangguh and Virginia Indonesia Company LLC (VICO) in Indonesia and North West Shelf in Australia, as well as new access in the region. BP also has domestic gas business in the region with existing gas positions in East Kalimantan, China and Western Australia.
BP’s E&P business in Asia Pacific covers operated assets in Indonesia and Australia and non-operated assets in Indonesia, China and Australia. BP’s Vietnam upstream assets were divested in 4Q 2011.
