We manage supply chain activities for the exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas. Our accountability is for the end to end process of sourcing, committing and contracting 3rd party spend on behalf of BP by working as a strategic commercial partner with our internal and external stakeholders. We deliver value and competitive advantage to BP by driving an innovative, results oriented culture focused on our people, our stakeholders, the market and the supply chain.
We are a global discipline with expertise in key supply markets which works across diverse functions and cultures. Our people develop strong supply chains, manage risk to deliver value and make a substantial impact on BP’s business. With more than 700 staff, our business segments collectively spend more than $20Bn per annum and are located across the world in locations including USA, Canada, UK, Middle East, Angola, Trinidad, Egypt, North Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam and Azerbaijan.

Managers

Managers work with senior executives from suppliers, contractors and partners in addition to representatives from government ministries and agencies. They demonstrate deep supply chain management and leadership skills and are outward facing as they work with diverse functions throughout BP. Managers may work on several global activities simultaneously.

Team leaders

Team leaders are responsible for a specific market sector, group of people or area within the company. They demonstrate strong supply chain and leadership skills as they engage with managers and teams across disciplines to understand requirements and ensure they are successfully met. They are located in BP offices across the globe.

Lead specialists and specialists

Lead specialists and specialists are responsible for a specific market sub-sector and manage day-to-day activities. Lead Specialists are differentiated by their breadth and depth of supply chain experience or the complexity of their deals. All Specialists demonstrate strong supply chain and interpersonal skills. They work with the business to identify needs, define contracting strategies and negotiate price, terms and conditions to secure the contract. They will also continue to work with their counterparts in the business post contract to ensure commercial delivery and supplier performance management. Specialists are located in BP offices across the globe.
