Everyday materials like household waste already show promise as a fuel source, and are the beginnings of the new possibilities in advanced fuels, with less impact on the environment. At BP, we’re leading investment into infrastructure and advanced research to meet the growing global demand for renewable fuels, and deliver drivers better fuel today.
Today, we are using plant crops to produce our first renewable fuels. Blended in small amounts with conventional fuels, they help lower greenhouse gases and our dependence on non-renewable crude oils. As we look for advanced fuel solutions, we’re working now, with existing infrastructure and engine technology, to deliver Australian drivers the choice of better fuel today.
