Virtue class overview

The British Integrity - a Virtue class tanker
The BP Virtue class tankers are double hull and have a capacity of approximately 46,800 deadweight tonnes
They are in the Large Range 1 (LR1) shipping group, which includes vessels of from 45,000 to 79,999 tonnes deadweight. Their cargo typically includes either crude oil or petroleum products.
All but one of these were built by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Company Limited in Korea, the other was constructed at Mitsubishi Heavy industries in Japan. They are British-flagged, with Douglas, Isle of Man as their port of registry. Their classification society is Lloyds Register. BP operates these ships, providing its own crews and provisions. They operate worldwide.
