Trader class overview
BP operates three Trader class double-hull Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) tankers
Each has a capacity of 138,283 cubic metres of LNG, with a carrying capacity of approximately 75,000 deadweight tonnes.
They were built by Samsung Heavy Industries Company Limited in Korea. They are British-flagged in Douglas, Isle of Man and their classification society Lloyds Register. Built to improve flexibility and transport in BP's LNG chain, they operate worldwide.
