On the 3rd, 4th and 5th July Goodwood held its annual celebration of cars, motor bikes and all things motoring at its Festival of Speed.
This was a fantastically attended event with a total of 152,000 visitors flooding through the gates over the course of the weekend, with visitor numbers peaking at 52,000 on Sunday. As always this prestigious event attracted a host of significant names from the world of motoring all prepared to take their chance driving a car up the famous Goodwood hill climb, this year the list included current F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, 2009 F1 championship leader Jenson Button and motoring legends such as Jackie Stewart and Stirling Moss.

Men carrying car
BP Ultimate was very proud to work in association with the Royal Artillery as a team of their men help further promote BP Ultimate by racing against the super car class to see if they could carry a fibreglass car up the famous hill climb!
Man on motorcycle
Several lucky members of the BP Ultimate Club were able to win tickets through a competition run online (www.bpultimateclub.co.uk) and were able to join in with the excitement at Goodwood. One such winner was Peter Arthur who said of his experience “I was lucky enough to win 2 tickets to Goodwood which you kindly sent me. I just wanted to say thank you as my son Charlie and I had a brilliant time thanks to BP Ultimate! Hot all day and no rain, too much to see in a day really. Definitely going next year!”

Once again the Festival of Speed proved to be an enjoyable and exciting event for all visitors and one BP Ultimate is very proud to be associated with.
