BP is not aware of any fines over A$5000. However in March 2008 BP entered into a deed with the Environment Protection Authority in Canberra which involved a settlement payment of A$200,000 for a spill which was reported in January 2006 at a BP retail site in Canberra, ACT. This is not recorded in the table above as it was not a fine or penalty imposed in a court of law. |
