Our approach to reporting
BP Australia makes use of recognized international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative and the Global Compact as well as internal processes based on BP group guidelines with the aim of ensuring that our reporting covers the material sustainability issues
Reporting on our performance
BP Australia’s sustainability reporting is provided primarily through this online report and in a concise summary review available in print. Our sustainability reporting incorporates information on the performance and activities of all operations under BP’s control across the country. We seek to ensure the report covers the key sustainability issues and presents a balanced and reasonable view of our performance, by using a formal process to determine which issues are of most significance to internal and external parties. The report is also independently verified.
In addition, we produce independently verified site-based reports at our refineries at Kwinana, Western Australia, and Bulwer Island, Queensland, and for our solar manufacturing plant in Sydney.
