BP started in Singapore as an oil refining and marketing company in 1964. Today, BP's main activities include Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Carbon and Finance Trading, as well as being the regional headquarters for our Shipping,
Lubricants, Marine and Aviation Fuels, from which they serve international markets and customers.
Singapore also serves as a knowledge hub supporting BP's operations in the region, with group functions such as Information Technology & Services, Legal, Tax, Group Security, Internal Audit, HR, Group Press, and Group Compliance & Ethics. BP Singapore today employs over 600 staff and operates from Keppel Bay Tower in the HarbourFront area.
