BP Educational Service (BPES)

The BP Educational Service was set up to develop learning resources for schools in subjects related to our business and the oil and gas industry. Over the years, the service has expanded in response to demand, but remains focused on inspiring young people through interactive learning and discovery.

History

We first started developing learning resources back in 1968. Over the years, the range of what we offer has expanded, reflecting the variety of digital media now available in schools, although we still provide more traditional materials. Developed by teachers and educational specialists, all our materials are designed to be used flexibly and encourage interactive learning and discovery in order to meet curriculum needs and standards.

What we do

The BPES team does two things:
  • Produce and distribute educational resource packs
  • Respond to all education-related enquiries from students, teachers, lecturers and the general public about BP and the energy industry
