The Ultimate Field Trip

Climate change is a global issue that requires all countries and all sectors of industry and society at large to play their parts in addressing it

The global population is set to quadruple this century. As people across the world strive to increase the quality of their lives, energy demand is expected to rise significantly – the International Energy Agency (IEA) projects 45% by 2030.
Even as we run this challenge, world leaders are debating new future targets at the Copenhagen climate conference.
BP is serious about climate change and we accept that in order to avoid the consequences, temperature increases will probably need to be limited to about two to three degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels – and that means dramatically reducing the amount of CO2 humankind produces.
This competition gives you the chance to study the issues and come up with new ideas about how to reduce or eliminate CO2 emissions from gas-fired power stations. We want you to use your imagination – we’ll be looking for innovative thinking.
