The non-technical activities at BP are vast and varied, demanding specialised skills.
Opportunities often arise in the following areas:

Commercial

Economists and Planning Analysts are responsible for evaluation and preparation of Project Reports. Typical functions include activities planning and preparation of reports, Project evaluation for decision-making on investments and monitoring financial performance, development and implementation of strategies as well as management of business relations and contracts with consortium partners and host governments.

Finance, Control and Accounting

Financial Accountants and specialists provide accounting services and prepare correct and reliable financial reports and carry out the financial control. The financial function also provides information and management analysis that permits all company functions to understand the performance of business activity and, as such, support solid business decisions. Typical functions include preparation of financial statements for payment, of general accounts, of associative participation accounting, internal control, taxation, and the treasury, of local entities and companies as well as risk management.

Procurement Supply Chain Management

Procurement and Contracts Specialists are responsible for the Procurement and Contracting Management Process to support operations.

Information Technology (IT&S)

Telecommunications and Audio Visual and forecast and plan future IT needs.

Legal

Our internal solicitors and lawyers work closely with business managers and colleagues to prepare effective legal agreements with governments, oil companies, contractors, suppliers and clients.

Human Resources

Ensure that at all times the business is correctly staffed by the right number of people with the skills relevant to the business needs.

Communication and External Affairs

Our professionals are the gatekeepers for BP corporative image. They ensure that employees are aware and aligned with the business vision, priorities and objectives. They also foster solid and sound relationships with key stakeholders to advance BP´s long term commitment to the country and acting as the interface between the internal and external audiences. In addition the team is involved in sustainable development initiatives aimed at bringing mutual advantage to both BP and the Angolan communities and society at large.
