Flexible working

Our IT infrastructure helps support flexible working and there are a variety of flexible working arrangements such as part-time and flexible hours that may be available to employees, depending on their role, for instance home-based working or teleconferencing may in some circumstances replace the need for travel.

Time to live

BP places great value on all employees achieving a proper balance between work time and personal time. As a global 24/7 business, there are occasions when people have to work very hard and unsociable hours. When this happens we do consider whether it might be appropriate to provide extra time off and/or other additional benefits.

Family time

Alongside our commitment to flexible working, we support a range of family friendly policies (such as career breaks and adoption leave) aimed at allowing people to contribute to their families without compromising their professional development or career aspirations.
