Shipping is BP’s longest-standing business unit. Established in 1915, our fleet is comprised of more than 50 vessels – from crude and LNG carriers to shuttle tankers and offshore supply vessels. Commencing in 2013, BP Shipping is undertaking a fleet rejuvenation programme. One of the largest shipping orders commissioned in recent times, Project Neptune encompasses the building of 13 new oil tankers in South Korea. This is a time of major change within the industry and by incorporating cutting-edge design and novel technology, we’ll continue leading the way in safety and environmental designs.
