Reporting standards
BP uses international reporting standards and frameworks to report its sustainability performance
These include:
- Global Reporting Initiative G3.1 guidelines: We report against the GRI’s G3.1 guidelines and the oil and gas sector supplement to an A+ level. Our GRI table is checked by our assurance provider, Ernst & Young.
- IPIECA guidance: We report in line with the second edition Oil and Gas Industry Voluntary Guidance on Sustainability Reporting (2010) from the oil and gas industry association IPIECA, the American Petroleum Institute and the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers.
- UN Global Compact: We report against the 10 principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
