Welcome to BP. This is our website for undergraduate and graduate students in the US. Through the site you’ll find a wide range of information – about us, our programs, our commitment to developing people and of course, what the future holds in store for you.
You can take a journey through our history and see how we grew from being a small syndicate of English entrepreneurial explorers in the early 1900’s, to the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, to British Petroleum, to BP: a global organization with a global workforce of some 97,600. You can also hear from people who have been in your position: some of our recent graduates and interns give a snapshot of why they joined BP and what it’s like working here.
In the US alone, there are 37,000 people doing a whole host of roles – from trading on the world energy markets to working on deepwater platforms, from Chicago to Houston, from Prudhoe Bay to the Gulf of Mexico. We offer many different programs for people interested in developing a long-term career in engineering, science, and business. But if you’re in any doubt about which program to choose, we have developed a program wizard to help you make the right decision.
