Wolfgang Langhoff (58) has been a member of the board of BP Europa SE since 2013 and, with effect from January 2017, is now its Chairman. In this function he is also responsible for portfolio strategy and European transformation activities. After joining the board, Wolfgang Langhoff was for several years the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
Wolfgang Langhoff is active in various professional associations and organizations: in addition to his role as Chairman of the management board of the German Petroleum Industry Association (MWV), he is Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Industry’s Strategic Petroleum Reserves Association (EBV, since 2011).
He began his career at BP in 1989, since when he has held various international management positions within the company, including posts in Brussels, London, Madrid and Cracow. Before joining the board, Langhoff headed the Supply and Logistics department in Bochum for the portfolio of BP’s entire western European fuels value chain, covering six countries.
Wolfgang Langhoff was born in Oberhausen in 1960 and graduated in engineering at Aachen Technical University. He also holds an international qualification as an AKNW chartered engineer.
