We continue to expand our presence in Europe with three airports being added to our network in recent months: La Perdiz and Murcia Corvera in Spain and Paris-Pontoise in France.
Following the closure of Murcia-San Javier airport earlier this year, we are delighted to have added Murcia’s new gateway – Corvera Airport (RMU) to our network.
An inauguration ceremony took place at the airport on 16 January and was presided over by King Felipe VI. Located just 20 minutes from Murcia’s city centre, the airport is a great choice for general and business aviation customers with both Jet A-1 and Avgas available.
We also added La Perdiz (LEIZ) airstrip at Finca La Nava in Castilla La Mancha, Spain to our network. The airstrip is situated within the grounds of the exclusive country lodge and estate, which is ideal for customers wanting to host private meetings and events. As part of our commitment to investing in the region, we also unveiled a state-of-the-art 30m3 capacity ‘Eagle’ fuel tank at the airport. It complies with the highest international quality control and operating standards and will ensure safe and efficient fuelling at La Perdiz.
The end of last year saw the return of Paris-Pontoise Aerodrome (POX/ LFPT) to our network. Following its temporary closure earlier in 2018, the airport has now reopened 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Ameridair Handling operates as the FBO at this location and while an operational team is on call 24 hours a day, airfield lighting using Pilot Controlled Lighting and IFR approaches is available around the clock.
