First female chair in JIG’s history

In September, Olivia Stone, our global operations standards manager, became the first woman ever to be elected as council chair of the Joint Inspection Group (JIG).

Endorsed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), JIG is the world-leading organisation for the development of aviation fuel supply standards. It covers the entire supply chain for aviation fuels from refinery to wing-tip.

What’s involved for Olivia? As chair, Olivia will play a major role in ensuring that refuelling quality and safety is maintained at airports globally. She will also provide leadership to the council and its various committees.

An expert in fuel operations, standards, monitoring and capability development, Olivia brings to the role a wealth of experience following 12 years in the aviation industry. In her current role as Air BP’s global operations standards manager, she is responsible for developing and delivering the standards required to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations at around 900 of our locations in over 50 countries.
