Red Bull Air Race update

Ever wondered what the differences are between flying a military aircraft and a raceplane?

Click here to read an article on the topic featuring former Royal Australian Air Force Wing Commander Matt Hall and former RAF Red Arrows Team Leader Ben Murphy, both of whom now compete in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.

Big congratulations to Australian pilot Matt Hall too – after this piece was put up online, he went on to secure a win in the first ever Red Bull Air Race in Cannes, France by just 0.072 seconds.

In case you need to catch up, the race weekend in Cannes, which took place from 20-22 April, was the second stop on the 2018 Red Bull Air Race calendar. Now, US pilot Michael Goulian is leading the overall standings with 24 points, followed closely by Matt Hall with 21 points. The current World Champion, Yoshi Muroya, is chasing hard in 3rd place going in to his home race with 19 points.

That means only one thing: The next race in Chiba, Japan from 26-27 May is set to be very exciting…
