China has a growing aviation sector and it’s one we’ve been involved in since 1991. As the first international oil company to have participated in China’s aviation fuel supply, we continue to work closely with our joint venture partners in the country. In recognition of our investment and growth in the region, Jonathan Wood, Air BP’s chief business development officer, was invited to join a host of business leaders and investors from across the aviation industry in China and the UK last month to discuss the benefits that airports and aviation-related industries can bring to a region.
The event, which took place in London on 16 August, provided a fantastic opportunity for senior figures from the aviation sector in both countries to network and plan for future growth. It was hosted by CNBC Catalyst with key representatives from organisations including Guangdong Airport Authority (GAA) and China Southern Airlines in attendance.
It was a huge privilege to be invited to join leaders from across China and the UK’s aviation industry to discuss how we can bolster operations and develop new business partnerships across the sector. As we continue to expand our operations in the Greater China region, we look forward to building on our existing relationships and exploring new networking opportunities.Jonathan Wood, Air BP’s chief business development officer.
